Pip Warwick's Ceramic Mekon
Just received a fascinating email from artist Catherine Warwick about the the Mekon inspired work of
her late husband, sculptor Pip Warwick.
A great admirer of my father's work, he visited dad in the 70's and with his full blessing went on create several ceramic Mekon heads of varying size as well as a truly amazing full size Mekon. The sculptures were subsequently exhibited in galleries around the country as well as appearing on the Russell Harty Show and selling to a number of celebrities.
Catherine has inherited a number of the sculptures together with the original moulds. She wonders whether anyone would be interested in displaying them in an exhibition and I understand that some may be available to purchase.
